I’m a website designer, website builder, search engine optimisation specialist with skills in customer management, technical support and a keen Northants photographer on the weekends. Although I do a lot of design on a daily basis, I enjoy Website Building and Web Marketing far more. I’ve always been interested in finding out how stuff works, investigating problems and finding solutions.

A little bit about me

I got my first taste of web development in a commercial environment working for Freetimers Internet in Northampton, I worked there as an apprentice for close to 2 years, starting off I was an assistant to the managing director, creating web marketing reports and customer service, after a couple of months, I somehow managed to get into the development team, firstly doing simple bug testing, then I got given my first full website build, it was one of my first experiences hand coding a website and even writing CSS without an editor to do it for me. Thinking back, that website took me a couple of weeks to get live, compared to my half a day it now takes for a fairly complex site build. Since making that first website I’ve continued to learn about areas of perfecting website development.

After leaving Freetimers, I started working in Milton Keynes for as an account manager, I was responsible for providing support to a large customer database, designing their website and integrating them with our bespoke content management system and teaching a monthly SEO course.

I created the first SEO package for their customers websites a month after starting, previous to this the websites were not optimised and were rarely showed up in search results. The base work I did for the SEO service is still used today. The SEO package helped create another revenue stream for the business.

What I’m doing now

I’m now working as an online marketing executive in Milton Keynes and not available for Freelance work.

I’m always keeping up to date with current SEO techniques, new social media sites and anything related to logo, design and branding.

Away from work, I like to get away from the computer and get out and about and do some photography, go to a music gig or even going for a run or mountain biking on the local trails.
